Happy New Year!

The holidays are over and we've entered into a new year! It is always a thrill for me to see all the pages that I scrapbooked in a year. In 2008 I completed a total of 176 layouts.... wow I amazed myself!... LOL! I'm not setting any specific goal for 2009, but hopefully I can do more personal scrapbooking and include myself more in my pages.

A fabulous way of meeting scrapping goals and stretching your creativity is to participate in challenges. Many sites offer you posting gifts or points towards store discounts, but the best reward is the accomplishment of completed layouts! Here are some you might want to take a look at:

• ScrapDish has just added a forum to their site and are beginning some fun challenges with a point system for shopping discounts as an incentive. Visit their new forum today!
• PickleBerryPop has their "What's in the pickle jar" challenge... always fun!
• GoDigitalScrapbooking has a large selection of challenges, but one that I hope to join is their Word Art Challenge. Each month they provide you with a free piece of word art... ya' gotta' love that!
• Digitals has a new "Resolve to scrap daily" challenge with scheduled chats for constant inspiration! Wouldn't it be fabulous to be able to achieve this? Yeah!
• ScrapMatters is continuing their "It's in the cards" challenge. A fantastic hybrid challenge!

These are just a few of the challenges at these sites and of course there are hundreds more thoughout all digital sites. Wherever you choose to hangout and play... here's wishing you a prosperous scrapping year!
